With the Stanley Cup Final over, and (what will seem like) a very short off-season, it’s time top look at the upcoming free agents for the New Jersey Devils.
Unrestricted free agents (UFAs) can sign with any team after July 1st. Restricted free agents (RFAs) can sign an offer sheet from other teams, but his current team has the right to match.

As a side note, here are some notes from some of the upcoming free agents:
- Parise said he wants to come back and there is “no way” he would he sign with the Rangers. He talked about next season as if he plans to be here although a contract hasn’t been worked out yet.
-Brodeur wants to return and wants to be a Devil.
-Hedberg wants to talk to Lou about staying.
-Sykora says he wants to play and re-signing with the Devils is a priority.
