- Tonight is the Jersey Hockey Fights Hunger Food Drive. All fans attending the game are being asked to bring unopened cans or boxes of non-perishable food. Requested items include canned fish/meat, powdered milk and infant formula, boxed/canned meals, peanut butter, and canned vegetables/fruits.

- Martin Brodeur will get the start tonight.

- Ilya Kovalchuk was on the ice again for the Devils’ morning skate. However, he will not play tonight.

- Andy Greene will also not play again tonight.

- The Canes are 4th in the Southeast Division, 11th in the Eastern Conference, and 23rd in the NHL overall.

- This is the second of four games between the teams this season. The Devils won 4-2 at home on Oct. 10.
