Devils vs Kings – The Morning After – What’s Trending

Posted by on October 26, 2011

I’m beginning a new series of posts after Devils’ games to get an idea of what fans are talking about.

Good, bad or indifferent, it will be fun to see what the reaction is from most fans the morning after a game. I will also have some tweets from opposing fans to see what they think.

Most tweets will be post-game thoughts, but I will also pull some from during the game.

I will take a sampling of tweets sent to me and tweets I find by searching Devils’ related (and opposing team’s) hashtags.

Here we go…
Devils 3 – 0 Kings.

@NHL #LAKings @JonathanQuick32 was given the night off last night – here’s why. (Link)

@westcoastdevfan: @NHLDevils end @LAKings shutout streak with a shutout of their own! #NJDevils

@MaxHermanWFAN: Solid win by the #NJDevils last night over a good #LAKings team. Johan Hedberg making Brodeur’s absence hardly noticeable…

@JohnLukas: My favorite #NJDevils post-game rituals is to go to the other team’s Facebook page and read the angry comments about us. I feel like a spy.

@DevilsLFC: Watched an Excellent game by the #NJDEVILS late last night – Overslept, missed the train, and late for work. Worth it! :)

@the3musks: exhausted but totally worth staying up to watch the @NHLDevils win…probably the best 60 min game i have seen in a long time! #njdevils

@sarahbraun: Enjoyed waking up and finding the #NJDevils shutout the Kings last night. Didn’t expect that. Nice start to the road trip.

@apciampa: It’s ironic how a team has their shutout streak ended by being shutout… #LAKings #NJDevils

@InLouWeTrust: #NJDevils scoring chance summary for last night’s game against the #LAKings (Link)

And, of course, some of my own tweets:

@SpeakoftheDevs: After 7 games, the #NJDevils are done with their season series vs #LAKings. They won the series 2-0 and are now 27-25-3-1-1 all-time vs LA.

@SpeakoftheDevs: Last night’s win was the 150th all-time for the #NJDevils in the month of October. They are now 150-122-13-5-3 all-time.
