It’s been a busy week in the NHL with the beginning of the free agent signing period. However, I am never too busy to bring you your Tuesday links. You can thank me later.

- With the start of the FA signing period comes the ever exciting stories of tampering charges. This years version comes to us out of Toronto and involves the Sedin twins. Read the full story by The Globe and Mail.
- In more exciting tampering news, Tony Gallagher of The Vancouver Province believes the Mattias Ohlund deal with Tampa was conspicuously fast. After reading the story, I can’t say I disagree.
- For some reason, one that I can’t figure out, the Oilers still have interest in Dany Heatley. This guy is obviously a selfish diva and I have no idea why Edmonton would still be interested.
- Max Talbot, who single-handedly won the Cup for Pittsburgh in Game 7 over Detroit, underwent surgery to repair the torn labrum in his left shoulder today. His recovery is expected to take four to five months.
- The Avalanche have called a news conference for Thursday at 3pm, where according to local reports they will announce Joe Sakic’s retirement.
- Of course, since this IS a Devils blog, I always like to include some Devils news. Ummmm….Ilkka Pikkarainen. Oh, and the ECHL’s Trenton Devils announced their 09-10 schedule today. Good stuff.
